Live Performance: Jykä Ahola & Stefanos Kozanis @ Concerto Cafe Artistic
Join us on Saturday, November 9, at 21:00 for an unforgettable evening at Concerto Cafe Artistic with Finnish trumpet virtuoso Jykä Ahola. Together, we’ll present a selection of my compositions from our album Dedications, as well as a set of jazz standards imbued with a lyrical, intimate vibe. This concert marks the beginning of Jykä’s Athens performances, three of which will include our collaboration. We warmly invite you to share this special night with us!

The renowned jazz vocalist Nassia Gofa and her ensemble, The Jazz Tales, invite us on a musical journey, presenting selections from their latest album Herkyna / Nassia Gofa & The Jazz Tales, alongside a curated set of classic jazz standards.
Herkyna is a musical tapestry woven by composer Stefanos Kozanis, with evocative lyrics by Karina Rubinstein. Each piece on the album represents a unique facet of jazz – from soulful ballads to vibrant hard bop, introspective modal, and contemporary jazz. Together, they tell the profound story of humanity’s journey “from darkness to light”, narrated through rich melodies and poignant lyrics.

Panos Gerakakis, a renowned crooner and a standout voice in the Athenian jazz scene, joins forces with Stefanos Kozanis, a versatile pianist known for his mastery across diverse musical genres. Together, they present an eclectic selection of tunes, blending timeless Greek retro songs with classic melodies from the Great American Songbook, creating a captivating musical experience.

Saturday September 28th, 2024. A cosy musical evening took place at "Jazzét Café - Music Hall", the beautiful venue hosted Asterismyth's live presentation in a special event. The band members K. Konstantinou, D. Maragaritis, S. Kozanis, K. Patsiotis and N. Sidirokastritis, performed twelve new musical compositions inspired by the Star Constellations and Greek Mythical Figures. Orion, Gemini, Leo, Perseus, Hercules, were among them. New live concerts will be announced soon.

Asterismyth, music about the constellations and mythical figures – just one month before the release of the album, the first live presentation of the project for the season 2024-25 will take place at “Jazzét Music Hall”, Saturday, September 28th, at 21:30. Asterismyth is a musical project, a suite consisting of 12 original pieces, with elements from jazz, classical and Greek traditional music. It is inspired by Constellations (Asterisms, in Greek) and mythical figures which they represent. Music by Stefanos Kozanis. Among the twelve compositions, three are songs with lyrics by Katerina Konstantinou and οne by Dimitris Margaritis. Here are some highlights from our recent Asterismyth's live concert on May 31st, 2024. A cosy musical evening took place at "Zp87", the beautiful venue hosted Asterismyth's live presentation in a special event. The band members K. Konstantinou, D. Maragaritis, S. Kozanis, K. Patsiotis and N. Sidirokastritis, performed twelve new musical compositions inspired by the Star Constellations and Greek Mythical Figures. Orion, Gemini, Leo, Perseus, Hercules, were among them. This was our final show of the winter 2023-24 season. We're excited to hit the studio this summer to record our new album. Stay tuned for announcements about upcoming gigs for the 2024-25 season!
