On July 8 and 9, 2024, the recording of the album "Asterismyth" took place at Artracks Studio. The sessions featured Nikos Sidirokastritis on drums, Kostas Patsiotis on double bass, Stefanos Kozanis on piano, Dimitris Margaritis on violin and Katerina Konstantinou on vocals. The recording was expertly engineered by Giorgos Priniotakis. Stefanos Kozanis composed the music, while Dimitris Margaritis and Katerina Konstantinou penned the poems and lyrics. Preparations for the album's release in the fall of 2024 are already underway. Stay tuned for further announcements, including details on upcoming concerts and presentations!

Here are some highlights from our recent Asterismyth's live concert on May 31st, 2024. A cosy musical evening took place at "Zp87", the beautiful venue hosted Asterismyth's live presentation in a special event. The band members K. Konstantinou, D. Maragaritis, S. Kozanis, K. Patsiotis and N. Sidirokastritis, performed twelve new musical compositions inspired by the Star Constellations and Greek Mythical Figures. Orion, Gemini, Leo, Perseus, Hercules, were among them. This was our final show of the winter 2023-24 season. We're excited to hit the studio this summer to record our new album. Stay tuned for announcements about upcoming gigs for the 2024-25 season!

Asterismyth, music about the constellations and mythical figures – Live presentation of the project will take place at “Zp87” space, Friday, May 31st, at 21:00. Asterismyth is a musical project, a suite consisting of 12 original pieces, with elements from jazz, classical and Greek traditional music. It is inspired by Constellations (Asterisms, in Greek) and mythical figures which they represent. Music by Stefanos Kozanis. Jykä Ahola (trumet, Finland) and Stefanos Kozanis (piano, Greece) met in Athens, Greece in November 2023 and decided to record a few of Stefanos's original compositions. This new album contains some of Stefanos’s dedications to his friends. All of the tracks are trumpet and piano duet, except for “A Piece for Dreamers" and "A Summer to Forget" which are solo piano.

This is the musical soundtrack for the "Musicoma” comic book by Olympia (Mondaki) Dakogianni: A love story that was born in a metaphysical context, to grow between the jazz improvisations of the New York scene of the 50’s. Musicoma (comic) features original music tracks, created exclusively for the comic book! Among the eight original songs of the album, six were composed by Stefanos Kozanis. Released June 13, 2021. The instrumental piece “Lament” is included in the album: “Herkyna / Nassia Gofa & The Jazz Tales”, produced by Nassia Gofa and Stefanos Kozanis. The album was recorded on July 25th, 2022 at Artracks Recording Studios in Athens, Greece and released by Jazz Breeze Records in June 2023.

Jazz singer Nassia Gofa and her band "The Jazz Tales", released their new album "HERKYNA / Nassia Gofa & The Jazz Tales" on June 10, 2023.
