Jazzèt welcomes the Shadow & Light Quartet for a tribute to the legends of jazz
On Saturday, November 28, Jazzèt Music Hall presents the Shadow & Light Quartet in a musical retrospective dedicated to three legendary figures of jazz—Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, and Roy Hargrove—who left an indelible mark on different generations of modern jazz through their work and artistic identity.
Led by Finnish trumpeter Jykä Ahola, the Shadow & Light Quartet approaches the music of the three great creators through improvisation, creative expression, and a contemporary jazz aesthetic. Jykä Ahola, with over 40 years of international musical presence, has been a steady fixture on the Athens jazz scene since 2021. The quartet was founded by him in Athens in 2022 and has since performed extensively throughout the city.
Jykä Ahola – trumpet
Stefanos Kozanis – piano
Jimmy Bikos – bass
Evangelia Stavrou – drums
A special evening at Jazzèt Music Hall, where the timeless heritage of jazz meets modern improvisation and live musical expression.
